Tree Huggers

On my increasingly regular morning bike ride to Waterfall Creek and back, I pass by an area that is being regenerated in native plants by a group of generous volunteers.

Instead of investing in an expensive watering system for our fairly dry summer they count on walkers, runners and bikers dipping a bucket in to the few drums scattered about and lugging it to the grateful plants. I've done a few loads in summer and our kids have pitched in as well. It's quite a cool way of making you feel good about doing your bit.

No need today though as we have had a bit of rain lately, so I took my blip and got on me bike.
