At last

When I first came here 20 years ago, there was a large, silted up pond. One of the first things I started planning was cleaning it out. Various plans came to nothing and other projects happened.

Today Mike brought in a tracked digger to dig it out. I expect he'll be here for a week or two, shifting thousands of tonnes of mud, silt and gravel. Free to a good home.
