A dry and bright start, with sunny spells for many. However, from late morning onwards showery outbreaks of rain are likely, especially in the east where they may become more prolonged, heavy and thundery through the afternoon and evening.

It's a lovely sunny morning at the moment (9 am at time of taking this) with clouds over to the East. As it's a bank holiday it is traditional to expect rain at some point!
