Rainy Day Rhododendron

Thanks to Paladian for hosting Mono Monday Weather today. Here is a wet Rhododendron, which is finally flowering. It's huge and full of bright scarlet blooms this time of year. Today it rained most of the day, sometimes pouring down in sheets. At other times, the sun would tease for a moment and the rain would drift off to a patter, only to return as fierce as before. This was taken during a brief respite. :)

And thanks for all the funny and kind comments about my sneak photo of Pete at his new gig. Right now, I've got a stack of papers to correct, which I put off until the last minute, and which means I'm going to have to put off looking and commenting on everyone's journals until tomorrow.
