I had a super day in London, met up with Rosie at Vauxhall, had coffee and went to Tate Britain. We walked around the Kenneth Clark and Phillida Barlow exhibitions. We treated ourselves to cake in the Members Room.
Next we walked to Westminster and got the tube to Sloane Square and the Saatchi Gallery. Leisurely wandered around all the exhibition spaces and then did a bit of shopping in the Kings Road (mainly in Muji and Habitat). We sheltered from the downpour in Peter Jones and admired their coloured escalators as part of their 150 years celebration.
Caught the tube again to Southwark for tea in Tas (Turkish cafe) before walking to Tate Modern for a look at the Matisse exhibition. Twenty minutes until closing was a good time to go as not too busy and we could see all well known and lesser known work without too many other people getting in the way.
Walked back to Waterloo by the river before saying goodbye and catching train home.
Tired and happy.
