Gorgeous Day @ Oban

Well it was an early rise to take our Canadian guests up north on a 2 day flying visit around the highlands of Scotland taking photo stops at Rob Roy's grave, Lochearnhead train station now on the abandoned line then Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe then a visit and tour round the Oban distillery sampling Whisky then off round the coastal route stopping at Creagan Old Railway station then on to Glencoe visiting the island of Eillan Munde where some of the dead from the Glencoe Massacre are laid to rest then into Fort William which I was shocked at how many shops lay empty and had dinner before heading back to our hotel near Glencoe Village at Ballachuilish then a quick beer then off to bed in our hotel a big baronial style home named The Ballachuilish Hotel not bad for £44 for b&b overlooking Loch Linne now this shot was taken from Mcaigs Tower at the top of the hill overlooking Oban with the Isle of Mull in the background not quite sure if you can see Duart Castle in the distance but I loved the shot of the Cal Mac ferry called The Clansman arriving into the sheltered harbour at Oban I do like those ferry rides to the islands and may be on one tomorrow hopefully to Skye now then movie for the day is " The Ferryman 2007 " Looks good BIGGER as well See Ya
