Harrison

This is not Harrison. This is Jon in the backseat, and myself taking a photograph of him in the door mirror.

Harrison is the Astra we have chosen to do the trip in, a 2000MY 1.7 DTi Vauxhall Astra Estate.

He's doing well, not using too much oil, and the engine management light has only popped on once, bringing up the code for the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. Since switching the ingition off and on again it hasn't reappeared though, so all good.

Apparently, the name Harrison comes from one of Myke's friends, who decided that the car has a snorkel, for fording rivers. Ford, Harrison Ford. Harrison. Hence the name of the car.

I realised that none of the photos so far particularly represented life spent in the car - Myke has written a blog along the same lines to be found at www.3unwisemen.wordpress.com.
