I love carved figure heads. like carousel horses they have a great quality of directness, and the bold simple colours make them very easy to read

There's something rather sinister about this harlequin I think.

Although we got there by a rather indirect route, we saw interesting things we wouldn't have otherwise come across and had planty of time to look round the Maritime Museum. Once we'd done that we went to the market just as it was closing and then had a a cup of tea and a slice of cake before we went home.
