Friday 25 December 2009: Christmas

daughter M's gift to Dad, a birthday/Christmas combo (since he's one of those birthday-within-a-week of Christmas people), was something he'd been wanting. When we go hiking on our camping trips, he always had to carry extra water bottles for the dogs in his backpack. Now Reba can carry them instead. She doesn't look too thrilled, but we were trying to make a big deal out of how good she was, wearing it.

Christmas was different with Mom and daughter J. not here, and more low-key, with everyone spending less these days and all the children older. But we had a very nice day, including the usual celebration at D's parents' house. Hope everyone in blipland is enjoying a happy, peaceful holiday season
