Diptychs

I've been experimenting with diptychs to show the contrast between the experience of long-term Northside residents and the students who live there short-term.

The homes themselves hold a different meaning for both populations. For Paul and Belinda Caldwell (pictured on the left), their house is the place where their children grew up. Paul Caldwell, 72, is a former officer of UNC at Chapel Hill Police and its first African American supervisor. For Connor Belson and Evan Benkert (pictured on the right), both juniors at UNC-CH, it is an unbeatable location.
