At Yarkhill: Rayseesa shines....

The sunny village somewhere in Herefordshire. Marquees gleaming in the summer sun, against at times a storm laden sky. Yarkhill food festival is a quintessentially British event. The beauty of cream teas in china tea cups. The ever threatening rain, that didn't happen. The produce, and herefordshire knows how to do produce food. Baskets of asparagus and strawberries. Cider pumping in almost every station. You might even think that you know a strawberries or your pint of cider. You most certainly don't until you have tasted all the apples, the mixes, the experiments, the recipes.

This festival is a true foodie event. Literally from food to fork in every sense. Its refreshingly british. The connection with the journey from the farm to the plate or the cup. Every person here, has a story to tell. The festival becomes a celebration of the final product.

Rayseesa's kitchen is no different. Its a celebration of taste. A passion. Bringing food alive. Rayseesa not only produces amazing meals, but delivers courses too. Keeping the passion alive, relevant and most importantly passing on the skills. In a world where taste becomes as good as the economy of the supermarket. Time to cook is limited. Keeping in touch with food is ever more difficult. Its a relief to become immersed, if only for a day. Search out British food, because its there and shining bright!
