Trestle

This train trestle spans an estuary just off the coast at Oceanside harbor, as the tracks approach the station. The area is a birder's delight, as it is usually filled with coastal, marsh and wading birds. Today I was more interested in the bridge itself. Walking one direction, you notice the oddly painted, dilapidated boards slapped together in a random fashion. On the return walk (perhaps after a cold pint and tasty appetizer) it has taken on a rosy glow and looks more like burnished copper in the setting sunlight. I especially like the reflections in the water.
