swan family

Didn't have much time today between work and going out to camera club to take photos. I wandered down to the river in Enfield town to take a few photos of the swan
family who are usually around there. Initially I couldn't see any swans but was surprised to see a heron , unfortunately at some distance. Took a few photos but he was too far away for my X10 for a decent shot. The swans had been hiding at the rivers edge under a nearby tree and only appeared after the heron had flown off. First one of the parents came out to check the coast was clear , then the rest of the family followed.
I'll have to go back with a telephoto to try for a better shot of the heron.
