Peekaboo. GX1, Leitz Elmar 135mm

Sitting quietly on a bench at the Muddy River enjoying a lovely morning, this chipmunk appeared and then dived down through the holes of a manhole cover. I watched for a while and just once he stuck his head up and looked around. Minutes went by and I thought to myself that he must have high-tailed it down one of the drainage pipes. Went over to the drain cover quietly and peeped down. There he was in his chipmunk universe of dry leaves, acorn caps and drains leading in all directions down which he could escape. He very obligingly sat still long enough for me to get just this one shot through the heavy casting and then he was gone.
