Viper's Bugloss

This is one of my favourite wild flowers. It has just begun to flowers in the dunes behind Belhaven Beach. It is a favourite pollinating spot for the Burnet Moth and in the height of summer you can see flowers with literally dozens of the red-spotted burnet moths all over them. It is worth looking at LARGE for the hairy stems and delicate flowers.
