Father's Day, Flamingo Style

This is the third in a series of my funny, neighborhood flamingo friend. I've mentioned this in previous blips, but he appears from time to time in a neighboring yard, dressed to depict the current holiday. As you can see from the photo, he is sporting a patterned tie, lace up oxford shoes, and wears the requisite glasses for reading the Sunday Paper. No doubt the obliging family dog brought it in for him just this morning. Then when he tires of this rather passive activity, he can start in with the golf clubs and hit a bucket of balls around the yard. A perfect Father's Day!
For our day, we had the pleasure of meeting our daughter in Dana Point for what turned out to be a delicious lunch/brunch at a local tavern. We all ate variations of Eggs Benedict accompanied by the most addictive and crispy tater tots I've ever tasted. Washed down with a local IPA, and you can't beat it! Then we walked off our meal with a stroll around the marina, enjoying one of the most perfect weather days so far this year. Everyone else seemed to have the same idea, as the beaches were more crowded than I've ever seen.
