Mags' Moments

A final fling!

This has to be one of the last stands of poppies left in southern Spain.

Down by the river, sheltered by high cliffs on either side, these final vestiges of nature's early summer fireworks remain - but they're fading fast...

Amongst all the bleaching hues and crisping foliage, one last hurrah of glorious colour still stands proud in the evening sun. By tomorrow, they may well be gone.

For a few brief moments, as the late sun hits a sliver of the valley floor, these fading flowers are transcendent: afire with flaming colour just as their coals nuff out for another year.

'Bye, 'bye poppies!
See you here again - same time, same place (fingers' crossed!) - and many thanks for the memories.
