Federspiel

A German word meaning literally playing with feathers. Which is what I did today. Inspired by Imagerie´s beautiful abstracts created by a moving camera, I wanted to try to get some movement into a feather to represent the feather in the movie, Forrest Gump. The feathers floats along at the beginning and later on in the movie. I wanted to retain the integrity of the feather, so experimented with varying speed and type of camera motion. I was very pleased with the results and had lots of fun.
Federspiel:
A special category for dry white wines from the Wachau in Austria which is not far from where we live.
The name comes from falconry where a lure made of feathers is thrown into the air to attract the falcon back to the glove after the hunt.
