Midsummer At Midnight

What a wonderful night for midsummer, bright, clear and calm and a wonderful day to follow :)

Up fairly early for a Sunday and off out with Sammy dog in the sunshine before heading off to work for the day. A busy Sunday in the Shetland Museum with visitors. We had a felsite talk and demonstrations in the afternoon and knitting demonstrations outside on the fine day :)
A few hours to myself and Sammy this evening before heading to work in the pub tonight.

I had a great night on Saturday with mam. She arrived at mine at 10pm and off we set looking for the Simmer Dim sunset and a wonderful sunset it was. We were down in the south mainland to catch it and ended up at St Ninians Isle in Bigton. 11.30pm came and decided to pop along my brother Jonny but he was out walking and met up with him at Ireland. Midnight came and the light was still great and snapped this photo at Ireland Wick with the Loose Head of St Ninians Isle and Foula in the distance.
