if then

One trip to the shop in the morning ended up with a public wailing just before we started for home, but the second trip in the evening to a different shop was all pleasantly-behaved, even though the way home went past a climbing-frame which we didn't stop at, even though it would have been doubtful he'd have had the energy to climb given the way he was declaring himself too tired to ride up hills, which was somewhat undermined by the speed he then ran giggling up them pushing his bike. There might have been time to stop at the climbing-frame on the way home had he not declared himself to require supper, though the way it was phrased made it look suspiciously like he might have been aiming to have had some food bought for him at the shop, when we were only there for batteries for his brother's bleeping electronic plastic devices, which are all starting to sound a bit distorty.
