Castaway!

This summer dotted throughout Aberdeen are 50 giant sculptures of dolphins. The sculptures have been designed and painted by local artists, creating an arts trail around the city and showcasing the city's rich culture.

This dolphin, named Adeona and decorated by Mel Shand, is situated close to the mouth of the River Don not far from where 'real' dolphins can be seen swimming in the North Sea.
