Pontymoile

"Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on"

Bill Withers - Lean On Me

Reasonably early start sorting out a broken piece of plasterboard in preparation for the plasterers return. All ready when he arrives so I leave him to it [after a quick tour of his experimental music on-line]. It still amazes me how multi-talented some people are - the day job is just that. Afterwards they do all sorts of creative things.

Spent the morning clearing the evaluation assessment for a Client. All done by 2pm, so late lunch then take Dad to the hospital to visit Mum.

Skies glorious again so afterwards took a little detour to Pontymoile basin for a short stroll with Dad in the afternoon sunshine. Amazing the number - and size! - of the fish in the canal. "There's a Jack Pike over there" commented a passer-by, " and another just along on the left". Wouldn't know one if you slapped me on the head with it. " Don't often see them this far down...." and he was gone.

And so were we. The canalside "coffee shop" was closed so no ice-cream for us today. Back home and the plastering is finished, just the clearing up to do now.
