Space woman!

What a fantastic, but absolutely knackering day with year 3 at the Space Centre in Leicester. The 6 children I was responsible for were gorgeous and so well behaved but when we were in the larger group it was easy to loose them. We went on a space simulator which was great fun - made us all scream! I sat next to the quietest little girl who laughed her socks off at the experience and the very 'class confident' little boy behind us who was screaming his head off to make it stop. I told this boy if he was really scared to put his hand up and the ride would be stopped, he didn't so I let him 'enjoy' the ride! We also went into the auditorium for a talk on astronauts. This involved a 360* show which made all the staff feel a little queasy.

We got back to school after 5, making it a long day. Mad cycle home, quick dinner then out to my quilt group. Despite the programmed speaker cancelling at the last minute the evening was very productive.
