MONOMONDAY: Reflections

I could try saying something profound about reflection helping one see through to what really lies beneath… But it’s just a grainy shot of an underwater frog that was only possible through improvised use of the blipper’s.... well... reflection!

(I just want to add my thanks and appreciation for all the concern and caring expressed regarding yesterday's blip. At one stage 400 people were evacuated from their homes plus a further 200 hundred who were attending a local celebration in the Park. It could all have been so, so much worse, though. Thanks to the truly amazing work done by 100 heroic firemen and 17 aircraft in hellish conditions, a far greater disaster was averted. The place is still smoldering today and the helicopters are still damping things down, but we hope - fingers crossed - the crisis is over. Nature will, with time, bounce back and fire has been part of the lifecycle of the forests on these mountains since time began. It’s us humans who will need to try to be equally resilient…)
