Such a grand old building

We went into Manchester today to meet up with 30 ex work colleagues for one of our two annual get togethers. I did take a few photographs for our pensioners magazine, but on the way back to the car, I took a few shots of certain buildings and skylines. This shot of the Grade II listed Midland Hotel with its Edwardian Baroque style architecture stood out as something worth sharing. It opened in September 1903 having been built by the Midland Railway.
