Bedraggled

I was always going to blip this rose today if it held on long enough. It is called fourth of July. Only scruffy flower left on the bush in a garden down the street. It sure is no great specimen but says something about the day.
I spent 4th of July in Colorado in 2012 but owing to wild fires no fireworks were allowed but there was plenty of other hoopla It was great to be there and see the pride they take in celebrating their National Day.
Today wonderful friends came and took me out to lunch and then came back here for a cuppa. Ones friends are sure a blessing.
