Scottish Provident Building

Another demolition in Edinburgh; designed in 1961 by architect William G Leslie of Rowand Anderson Kininmonth & Paul, this was a listed building which was more attractive than many of that era and not unpopular with many architects.

It transpires that internally the building does not meet current load-bearing specifications and as there is little scope for adaptation it appears replacement is necessary.
