The World's Shortest Parade! The 53rd Aptos Fourth of July Parade--only two blocks long, but fun for all. Except maybe the horse.

Not short in content: lots of kids and dogs and politicians, bicycle riders and antique cars, beauty queens and baseball teams and a couple of bands. A contingent from the Ukulele Club, cheerleaders, gymnastics teams and a calliope. Fire engines. Police cars. And crowds lining the street to cheer them on.
