Tonbridge: Swan & Cygnet

More adorable in large ("L").

Back blip / late blip.

I had a wonderful day in Tonbridge: too many photos to look through, so I've just uploaded an obvious favourite and will look through them more properly tomorrow and upload some more highlights to Flickr.

I've seen photographs of this behaviour before, but have never actually seen young cygnets on an adult swan's back, so this was such a thrill. There was (at least) one more hiding under her wings too. I've blipped a tufted duckling on its mother's back before (here), but that was a very short-lived situation (the mother didn't like it).
