peace in the morn

Peaceful around Killarney, Co Kerry, on Sunday morning at Ross Castle on the edge of the lakes before the buses of tourists arrive.
I couldn't help but wonder what a Sunday morning was like here for its O'Donoghue clan builders in the 1400s. Judging by all the surrounding walls, they can't have been too welcoming of visitors!
