Tri Cycle

Aye, they're smiling in this one. Only a few miles into the run, underneath one of the giant pylons that carry power lines over the River Forth at Kincardine. Not so cheery and fresh looking by the time we'd finished though.

Whilst the ladies were off being pampered today I dragged this pair out into the sunshine for a two wheeled mystery tour. I literally did have to drag Euan who, unconvincingly, was begging me to let him tidy his bedroom rather than go out on the bikes. Yeah, right Euan. Grant came more than willingly, though he may have some emergency bedroom cleaning to do the next time, and the both of them are now hobbling about like they've been visited upon by Vlad the Impaler.

We were glad of the shade as we scudded around the lumpy, sometimes muddy, sometime sandy and beach like tracks around Devilla Forest, stopping for a picnic on the banks of a reservoir beside a couple of rusted and burnt out cars. Only got lost once or twice too, despite the labyrinthian and ever changing paths through the forest, eventually making it out the other side and back along the gentle National Cycle Route that follows the disused railway line between Dunfermline and Alloa.

Exhausting in the heat, but a grand day out.
