The best camera...

...is the one you have on you! I take refuge in the words of David Bailey...although I'll come back with the big camera soon! Still, hope you appreciate the intent!

Up early doing some breakfast stuff for the girls which I really enjoy doing. The house, in the summer especially, works really well with its inside and outside spaces and there is a sense of oasis calm even though we are so central. Did my best smoothie yet, at least in my opinion; banana, melon, cherries, blueberry yoghurt, skimmed milk and a wonderful Seville orange!

We took Las Chicas to the new to them metro station for their visit to the Sagrada Familia (right day, right hour!), and then strolled on....for over five hours...discovering new shops in streets we don't often frequent. The Eixample area of Barcelona is such a maze...the grid plan makes it all look alike and getting back to new discoveries has always been a challenge. I remember in our second ever day here putting clothes into a laundry a few blocks away from the hostal we were in and it took us over an hour to find our way back to it!

Now out with Dd for another stroll while the girls play cards on the balcony, drinking tea after their merry making last night!
