Gaza's Ark

The reason why I have not been putting up any photos in the past few days is that every since we arrived back in Montreal, I have been absorbed, among other things, with the horrific events happening in Gaza. We visited Gaza less than two years ago and have friends there, which makes the ongoing massacre to which the population is subjected even more painful to witness from afar with relatively little one can do to support the Gazans.

Today Israel attacked Gaza's Ark. Gaza's Ark is a ship, and a project. It was going to sail from Gaza exporting local goods in order to break the siege. As the boat was going to LEAVE Gaza, there is no way that bombing it could have been done for "security" reasons. It is but another vile act by Israel of sabotaging the Palestinian right to freedom, to dignity, to trade, to human rights, and must be condemned as such. Currently, the focus is on the immense loss of human life, the murdered and maimed. What is back grounded is the far reaching damage to Palestinian property and infrastructure that always happens during Israeli assaults. Gaza Ark was a beacon of hope for the people of Gaza. If you want to read more about the Gaza's Ark project, please visit The Gaza's Ark website.
I have supported the Gaza's Ark project in the past, and will again support it to help them rebuild.
