Moments in a minor key

CONGRATULATIONS

Our Sarah passed her driving test a few days ago so thought it waste high time we payed a visit to Sunderland & have a look at her pride & joy, a Nissan Micra, that daddy brought, being seventeen she was determined that she wasn't going to drive just anything, all her friends have Mini's or BMW's she told us all, I wonder! Think Dad saw through the ploy & plumped for a cute red three door with doe eyes (Sarah could treat the headlights to a set of her false lashes), one of those spy boxes that check on how your driving has been fitted but I sort of think that's a waste of time if the speed she took the corners this afternoon is her 'normal' driving.
Had a pleasant time on Seaham seafront, there was a small gathering of classic cars to snap at plus some views of the harbour, I'll post some on Flickr tomorrow once home, tonight we attended a swing band concert in Hebben, again I'll post a video to YouTube when I get a wireless signal.
Sarah didn't want her photo taken so the smile is a little bit forced, spooky how like her mother she looks, Beth passed away three years ago and I'm sure she's watching over our two grandchildren with pride in how they've turned out.
