The Finke River at Glen Helen

We set out from Alice Springs this morning travelling on the Larapinta and then Namitjira Drives to Glen Helen. Along the way are a number of gorges and waterholes in the West MacDonnell Ranges that we visited. The red rocks of this timeless land are always a feature in these gorges. The Ghost gums stand out with their white trunks against the rocks and the river and creek beds have huge Red Gums lining the water courses. It has been hard to pick which one I would post and in the end, I have chosen the gorge at Glen Helen as this was where we stayed for two days.
