CannyScot's Day

Angus Folk Museum

Bright, sunny day but with a sting in the tail.
Preached at Church this morning on the need to have our minds renewed. Had a rest in the sunshine and then headed off to visit the NTS's Angus Folk Museum. This is situated next to Glamis Caastle, which was the home of the Queen Mother and where Princess Margaret was born. The Museum comprises of a row of 200 year old cottages and is full of items from the 18th Century. Each room is laid out as it would have been at the time and you can see a bedroom, kitchen, laundry, spinning room and a schoolroom. The picture is of the Minister's Living Room which was the largest and best equipped of the row.

We travelled out to Kirriemuir, when the heavens opened, fortunately while we were having afternoon tea!

You can see photographs of the rooms in the Museum over at my Flikr set.
