Today is a new day...

Borgen

Copenhagen today. We walked and walked and walked!

As great fans of Borgen, we had to visit the place it had been filmed.

We had lunch at the harbour and then walked along to look at the Little Mermaid statue. Next stop the Rosenberg Castle and then we walked the length of the longest pedestrianised shopping in Europe.

To add to Semi-quaver's delight she also sampled an ice-cream with chocolate dip - a chocolate sauce that the ice cream is dipped into which solidifies immediately. It has gone into top place so far.

We finished off the day popping into the Tivoli Gardens before taking the train home.

The cycling culture here is fabulous and interesting to see how well the cyclists are catered for. The train had large areas specifically for bikes, the bike lanes are everywhere and everyone cycles, not just proper cyclists!

Heading on tomorrow.
