Monday 25 January 2010: Leeds Landmarks #3: Parkinson Steps
This is the entrance to Leeds University, paid for by Yorkshire's quietest millionaire, Frank Parkinson. There is also a Scholarship in his name for postgraduate research, which in 2009 was worth £8,000. This is the steps of the building, where many a graduate photo is taken, but the tower is visible as a landmark from quite a distance, and from many of the routes into leeds such as the M62.
Others in the series
