Ha-pea days

Hottest day of the year here today, glad of the walk to the swimming pool with the kids, tho it was about 500 degrees at the poolside! We watched enviously as the kids splashed about.
Last boomwacker club for this term and the kids nailed Chariots of Fire!
Icecream on the way home, figured if not now, when? Dinner in the garden and then as the heat of the day faded I went to water the allotment. Today's blip is a promise of things to come, peas, one of the real treats of homegrown veg.

Up late as a VIP is landing sometime in the wee small hours. My thoughts are with the families and friends of those on the Malaysian flight which has crashed in the Ukraine.
