Two elephant garlic and an overgrown courgette have made my little suitcase so much heavier than on the outward journey, but I'm pleased that my brother gave them to me. He spent the day at our Mum's yesterday, arriving laden with fresh produce from his allotment and he produced a lovely lunch and dinner for us all. I particularly enjoyed the rhubarb and redcurrant crumble.

After arriving back at Derby station I went to meet up with friends for lunch, two married couples with whom we were friends in Spain but who both moved back to the UK about three years ago. What a lovely catch-up and we intend to do it again.
