The summer in Argyll is marked by fetes, galas, shows and fairs in every community.

Today my friend and neighbour Barbera McNaughton ( from whom I bought my house 22 years ago) was in charge of the ice cream stall at the "Glen Fair" in the Glendaruel Hall. An indoor event , alas, because of the persistent rain.
