Small things

A quick blip of the local miniature shop whilst at the servo.

A few years ago we fought the RTA who wanted to put up a huge ugly fence to funnel rail users to the lights. They finally agreed to ditch the fence and put in the pots instead.

Then last year the electricity supplier wanted to cut the large branch that overhangs the shop as it was too close to the power pole. With support from Council we managed to get them to agree to leaving it.

All this brings to mind words on a sculpture seen recently at Cranbourne Gardens on the Mornington Peninsula.

"We are blindly destroying beauty we do not see.
We are making silent a landscape we do not hear."
