Dearly Beloved
This is an oil painting I did about a year and a half ago. It is of our local bridal shop. We were studying German Expressionism at the time and the green manikins added a hint of the strange colors used during that period. The theme is the high cost of weddings but also the beauty of the dresses. If you look closely you can see me in the reflection in the mirror behind the manikins. I was at the window taking the photograph I used for the reference for this painting. You can see more of my paintings at www.annchaikin.com.
