The green things really stand out in this heat/ in the middle of the sandy dust bowl that is Vegas. I do wonder about the cost though and although some of these things are very pretty to look at they can't be great for the environment. This corridor in the hotel is gorgeous and glittery but over the top.

Those ball of colour you can see are made of fresh flower heads. . .

Today I was up at 5am and watched the sunrise colours reflecting in the mirrored surface of the Trump tower, it was pretty. Walked up to the Stratosphere Casino which was a treck, quite a few homeless people up at that end of town, a bit of Vegas lots of people don't see as they tend to wizz up in busses and taxis. There are lots of motels and wedding chapels and the like, all very 50s, slightly delapidated but pretty to see if you like that sort of thing.

Chatted to a couple of people today in what used to be the Las Vegas Hilton, one chap let me have a look at the Elvis costumes they have there but I had to scoot around quickly as the exhibition wasn't supposed to be open. The hotel got bought in July this year and all the staff seem to be very hopeful about the changes planned.

Back to the Wynn now for a veg for the rest of the afternoon. Tomorrow is going to be full on and I am slightly nervous about it, got to cross Death Valley in a hire car at a silly time of the year. 20 litres of water per person is required- should be interesting. . . possibly won't have an internet connection for a day or so. 8% humidity here time to use moisturiser for once!
