Hotel Russell, Bloomsbury, London

Built in 1898 to a design by architect Charles Fitzroy Doll.

It is clad in decorative thé-au-lait terracotta and is based on the Château de Madrid on the Bois de Boulogne in Paris.

The style has been described as a ‘vicious mixture of Art Nouveau Gothic and Art Nouveau Tudor'.

The hotel restaurant is identical to the RMS Titanic's dining room which he also designed.
