Flying Fledgling!

More exhilarating in large ("L").
I back blipped yesterday's image: Trafalgar Square fountain

This fledgling had arranged its wings and tail into a continuous surface to help it to slow down.
The fledglings were being incredibly active today: I arrived to find them splashing about, chasing each other, and flying (frequently)! I had such fun photographing their antics, and have put up many shots on Flickr, including several sequences (right from here).

Highlights:
Sneaking up
Water streaming of the feathers
Approaching (in the air!)
In flight backlight...!
Serious splashing
Sculptural splashes: 1 & 2
Palest fledgling: moody & perky
Skimming across the surface
