Bring It On

Almost 14 months ago I had my volunteer interview for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

It seems to have been a long time coming, I've been to volunteer training, picked up my uniform, watched the baton relay as it came through Edinburgh and seen companies get into the spirit.

And now it's finally here - the opening ceremony kicks off tonight with a bang! I know this because I was lucky enough to attend the final dress rehearsal on Monday night. If you're going or tuning in tonight, you're in for a treat!

This is the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh where I will be taking up my Clydesider duties next week. My first shift is Wednesday 30 July at 5pm. I can't wait!
