A Tale of Two Assemblies

Two leaver's Assemblies for me today. One in Whittlesford and one in Linton.

At work, the children are fine, the staff a little wobbly. The service was emotional.
Apparantly, the first child to be pulled out of the overturned coach said 'most awesome day ever!!' when he got back to school. Children are more resilient than we think.

Alfie had a bad night but seems much better today. The sling and regular painkillers are helping. D helped him have a bath and get dressed and we took him to his Leaver's assembly this afternoon. The whole of yr 6 gave him a raucous welcome when he walked into the hall. That started me off. He also got a massive cheer when he went for his presentation.
Best part of the day was the premiere of the 'Happy' video which parents made secretly for the children. it went down a storm.

A very proud day.
