Lavender and blueberry cupcakes

One of my favourite foodie places in Ditchling used to do a blueberry cake with lavender icing that I loved! Sadly they seem to have disappeared now so I though it was about time I got myself some lavender and gave it a try :)

Cakes were considered an all round success, the base is just from a classic blueberry and vanilla muffin recipe and the lavender buttercream recipe was from here. Top tip - if you're buying lavender by weight, you're going to need a lot less than you think!
