Sto lat

Today is the anniversary of our older daughter's birth. We took her, the two lads and younger daughter J to The Lone Star restaurant. While there, our son rang C and had a birthday chat with his sister. Not able to be here in person, he joined us in spirit.

Afterwards we returned to the apartment for a little gift giving, which included J giving C a carved rolling pin from Poland. It is carved with "Sto lat". This is a traditional Polish wish for good health and long life. It translates literally as One Hundred Years. It is also the name of a song sung on birthdays (we sang happy birthday).

J provided the ribbon also; as part of the wrapping.

We are fortunate parents.
